EXPERIMENTAL:

In the mid '80s, the Powell-Peralta R&D department began issuing team riders with prototype board shapes that were either screened or bore a sticker that branded them as "experimental" models. Although this was mainly done to ensure a rider wouldn't appear in any photos skating a blank board devoid of company logos, the concept proved to be an ingenius marketing ploy, inadvertently or otherwise, and became the premier harbinger of things to come from Powell-Peralta- not to mention the stickers themselves becoming one of the most elusive and coveted items for hardcore Bones Brigade fans. Each figure represents the "prototype" nature in which the original experimental boards were produced with single, solid color paint jobs.
